Comparative form of adjectives
Normal	Comparative	Superlative
expresses no comparison : быстрый(fast)	shows that the object expesses more of a certain characteristic that some other one: эта машина быстрее той (this car is faster than that one)	shows that the object possesses some characteristic that tops the same kind of characteristics of all the other objects : это самая быстрая машина в Европе (this is the fastest car in Europe)

 

Comparative form

Comparative adjectives could be simple and complex.

Simple comparative is formed:

• with suffixes: -ее / -ей, -е, -ше /-же :ровный -ровнее, быстрый - быстрее, сладкий -слаще, тонкий - тоньше

• in a different way: хороший -лучше, плохой - хуже and others.

Complex comparative is formed:

• using auxilary words like : более, менее : более гибкий график, менее интенсивное движение (a more flexible schedule, a less intense traffic)

Superlative form

Simple superlative is formed:

• with suffixes -ейш-,-айш- : сильнейший спортсмен, ближайший поезд (the strongest sportsman, the nearest train)
• some are formed differently: хороший - лучший, плохой - худший (good-the best, bas- the worst)

Complex superlative is formed using auxilary words like самый, наиболее, наименее : самый быстрый, наиболее успешный, наименее частый ( the fastest, the most successful, the least commmon)
