Hehe...very nice lesson. But the best part was your advice at the end to be sincere. I hope that the many American men out there who are looking for "Russian babes" will pay attention to that. Sometimes I feel very worried about Russian women who may be victims of these lecherous types. Hopefully these compliments will be used in the best and most sincere ways by sincere and well-meaning people!

Only4Russian, you are correct, there are many men who are there only to snag a babe. My tutor has been through a bad marriage (to her Russian ex-husband) and I constantly run into the trust issue when she's dealing with me. Regardless, 3 weeks after she met me she was cooking Russian dishes (she's a great cook BTW) and bringing me Russian candies to try. However, I have a huge garden and orchard, so I of course give everyone I know bushels of fruits and veggies. When she is the recipient of the bountiful harvest, she gives me the "Okay, you gave me fruit and vegetables, now I bet you want to go to bed?" Sad situation indeed.

You have the best ideas for WHAT to learn in a language I have come across! I would dearly love to master your lessons! When I speak, I guess I make myself sound like I have a Russian accent to anyone not Russian, but to Russian speakers, I think it just sounds like I am speaking with food in my mouth and possibly a bit over articulated (maybe a little exaggerated also). The problem I have is I want to practice my Russian, but when I do, I can only use the things I learn a few times before everyone knows I'm just practicing phrases. If I don't use them for a week, I forget them or I forget that I know them and never use them again. What would you suggest in order to overcome these problems? I guess these are the problems that one encounters when they are not living in a Russian speaking country.

Thanks for reading/considering and for such a wonderful gift (your website)!
