I use flashcards all the time to help me learn words and phrases.  There are several different flashcard software tools available.

All of these are free, can be used with Cyrillic fonts (the Russian alphabet) and can be created with photos of objects you are learning.  And if you don't like one of them, don't forget there are hundreds of different flashcard sites out there.  Many already have Russian word collections.
