Пасха - самый важный Православный праздник. Перед Пасхой - сорок дней Великого Поста, когда православные не едят мясо, рыбу, яйца и молочные продукты.

Easter is the most important Russian Orthodox holiday. There's the 40-day Great Lent before Easter when the Orthodox christians don't eat meat, fish, eggs and dairy products.

Традиционный пасхальный хлеб называется кулич. Его пекут в Чистый четверг (четверг перед Пасхой). Куличи высокие. Их обычно украшают сахарной глазурью.

Traditional Easter bread is called "koolich". It is baked on Clean Thursday (Thursday before Easter). Kooliches are high. They are usually decorated with sugar icing.

Из творога, масла, изюма, сахара и специй делают другое традиционное блюдо - пасху.

Another traditional dish - paskha - is made of cottage cheese, butter, raisin, sugar and spices.

Пасхальные яйца красят или украшают наклейками. 

Easter eggs are dyed or decorated with stickers.

Notice how the ending consonantschange their sound - творог [tvah-rok], хлеб [khlep]

Also remember that я in the beginning of the word makes double sound [ja], so the word яйца reads [jaj-tsah]

Tricky words from the text:

праздник [prahz'-nik] notice that "д" isn't pronounced here!

его [je-voh] say "v", not "g"!

творог  [tvah-rok]notice that the second syllable is stressed.
